Family Reunion Visa

THIS VISA IS A SCHENGEN VISA.
This kind of visa is for people who wish to join their relative (spouse, ascendant, or descendant), who is an European Union citizen residing in Spain.

WHERE TO SUBMIT
The applicant must apply for an EU-Citizen Family Reunion Visa at the premises of the Consulate General of Spain in Lagos.

WHAT TO SUBMIT
The consular administration has full authority to evaluate, and request for more documents than those submitted by the applicant. The latter is hereby informed that submitting the aforementioned documents does NOT guarantee automatic issuance of the visa. Documents will not be returned once accepted to process the visa.

There is a service charge of NGN 29,500 per application over and above the visa fees

All payments are to be paid in cash at the centre.

Visa Fee and service charge to be paid at Bank Implant inside BLS centre. Kindly carry the applicant's 1st page Passport photocopy while paying the service fee and the visa fee at the bank

There is no exemption for BLS Service charge and courier charge

The above BLS Service Charge and visa processing fee are non-refundable and non transferable. “For any exceptional case, kindly contact BLS center at our office in Victoria Island, Lagos.”

As per instruction received from Embassy of Spain, "Checklist" needs to be duly filled in by the Applicant/Travel Agent/Authorized representative and needs to submit along with the Visa Application. Please note it's mandatory to provide the same and is applicable for all Nigeria.

The following list below includes, but not limited to documents that are to be submitted directly at the Consulate General of Spain for Visa Consideration. Kindly click on the "Checklist" for more information on documents required

ORIGINAL and ONE PHOTOCOPY of each of the following items must be presented:

1. Two Schengen Visa Forms, one in English and one in Spanish. Both forms must be signed by the applicant.
2. Applicant’s passport valid for at least 12 months.
3. Two photocopies of the data page of applicant’s passport.
4. Two recent colour passport photographs on white background.
5. Colour copy of the Spanish Documento Nacional de Identidad or Identity Card/Passport of the EU-citizen who is living in Spain, endorsed by a Notario Público in Spain.
6. Applicant’s Birth Certificate endorsed by a letter from the National Population Commission, translated into Spanish and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and, subsequently, by the Consulate General of Spain in Lagos. In its absence a sworn declaration of age.
7. Proof of Financial Support from the relative in Spain. It is advisable to provide certificates issued by money transfer enterprises (Western Union, Ria, Small World, etc.) instead of unreadable receipts.

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.

Clear share quality and with the face in focus.

Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).

Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]

Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre..

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Embassy of Spain/Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from Embassy of Spain minimum processing time is 15 Calendar days (It may delay depending on case to case).

All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.

Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.

Applicants submitting the applications with short processing time will be required to fill up the Declaration form.
